“Genys” progymnasium is situated in Vilnius, the capital of Lithuania. Vilnius is about 700 years old. We are very proud that we can call Vilnius a green city – there are lots of parks and forests. Our school is located in one of such green areas as well. The school has three buildings and they are surrounded by forests so our pupils can enjoy long walks in Nature, observing and exploring it. “Genys” primary School was opened 25 years ago.  Currently we have 940 students aged

7 - 13 years and 72 teachers. The school works in accordance with an individual plan of education, confirmed by Ministry of Education anad Science. We are glad to offer a course on Ethnoculture  too. The school has got is own anthem, pupils wear uniforms. Teachers and administrators collaborate with training institutions, provide them with suggestions and requests for professional development programs. The school developed an internal culture of life by creating distinctive traditions, especially purposefully fostered ethno-cultural activities.  School life is full of wonderful celebrations.
